Zunetta Liddell is a London based research associate with Human Rights Watch/Asia.
Human Rights Watch is a non- governmental organisation established in 1978 to monitor and promote the observance of internationally recognized human rights in Africa, the Americas, Asia, the Middle East and among the signatories of the Helsinki accords. It is the largest US based human rights organisation and its Asia division was established in 1985.
Through its reports and advocacy efforts, Human Rights Watch works to stop abuses wherever they uncover them.
The organisation’s goal is to make governments pay a heavy price in reputation and legitimacy if they violate the rights of their people.
