The presentation of the Wilberforce Medallion is given to an individual who has made an outstanding contribution to the furtherance of human rights and democracy.
Hull is home to the annual Wilberforce Public Lectures which are delivered by significant international figures on the general themes of freedom, democracy and human rights.
